It began with a late-night text.
From Mirra Wicker, founder of Avani. Licensed therapist. 15+ years practice. 100k+ following.
A friend was exhausted and overwhelmed. His daughter was refusing everything he asked, and he didn’t know what else to do.
I offered what I always do: validation, reflection, connection, and small, doable steps forward.
And then he said:
“Wouldn’t it be amazing if there were an AI version of you? Someone who could be there for all the messy moments of life?”
That was the seed.
The root of Avani goes back much further. Into my family, my lineage, and the name this offering carries.
Satsang is a Sanskrit word that means “to gather in truth” — the practice Avani is built on.
Growing up, whenever my family needed support, whether emotionally, spiritually, or relationally, my father would say, “Come. Let’s have satsang.”
In the last month of his life, my mother, my brothers, and I gathered often in satsang. We shared our fears, our stories, our hopes. That space held us. It healed us.
This offering is part of his legacy. Satsang was his way of helping us return to what really matters. Avani is how we carry it forward to you.

Therapy changes lives. It isn’t always there in the moment you need it most.
As a licensed therapist and certified parent coach, I’ve sat with hundreds of families. I’ve seen the heartbreak of rupture and the beauty of repair. I’ve witnessed the moment when a parent softens, breathes, and chooses connection over control.
Avani is here to change that. We dreamed of a different kind of support:
- A guide for when you’re about to lose it in the kitchen, the car, or at bedtime.
- A compassionate presence when guilt, fear, or shame take over.
- A way to pause and reconnect before the chaos pulls you under.
Avani is for the parent who feels like they’re running on empty. For the ones breaking generational patterns. For anyone longing to raise kind, resilient, emotionally connected humans without losing themselves in the process.
Avani is a trusted companion, here to help you return to your truth again and again.
Welcome to Avani. We’re honored to hold this space with you.
